About UPMC
Horizon
Founded in 1906, UPMC Horizon is comprised of two hospital facilities
in northwestern Pennsylvania — Greenville Regional Hospital
and Shenango Valley Medical Center in Farrell — that merged
in 1992 to form Horizon Hospital System. In 1998, Horizon merged
with UPMC Health System to become UPMC Horizon.
UPMC Horizon
prides itself on providing quality care to all patients. The Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations accredits
all UPMC hospitals. If you have any concerns about patient care
or safety in our hospital, please contact the hospital’s Patient
Relations office or the hospital’s management. If you have
done so and believe that the hospital has not addressed your concerns,
you may contact the Joint Commission’s Office of Quality Monitoring
at 1-800-994-6610 or complaint@jointcommission.org.
